Incogniton is a competent Chromium-based antidetect browser with a free tier generous enough that people stay on it far longer than they planned to. The automation gate. Incogniton exposes a local API that drives Selenium and Puppeteer, but access to it is a plan feature, not a base feature. The entry paid tier is built for someone clicking through profiles by hand. The first line of automation you write forces a plan change, which is a strange place to hit a wall given that scripted profile launches are the main reason technical users buy an antidetect browser at all.

No native Linux client. Incogniton ships desktop builds for Windows and macOS. That is fine for a laptop operator and a serious problem for anyone whose automation already runs on Linux. The usual workaround is a Windows VM on a Linux host, which costs a licence, costs RAM, and adds a virtualisation layer that a determined fingerprinting script can sometimes spot through GPU renderer strings and timing artefacts. You bought an antidetect browser to remove signals, not to add one.

Profiles are bound to a machine. Local-first storage is genuinely a feature until the day it is not. Your cookies sit on your disk, under your control, with no vendor holding them. Then the laptop dies, or a colleague needs to work a profile, or you want the browser running on a server rather than under your desk, and the model stops helping. Cloud sync exists, but it is a bolt-on to a local architecture, not the architecture itself.

The local API pins the controller to the browser host. Because the API is local, the script and the browser have to live on the same machine. You cannot sit a controller box in front of a fleet of profile hosts without building that orchestration yourself. Tools with a remote API hand it to you.

GoLogin: the closest cloud-first swap

GoLogin is the switch that changes the least about your day and the most about your architecture. Profiles live in GoLogin's cloud rather than on your disk, the Orbita Chromium build is the browser, there is a remote REST API on the paid tiers, an Android app, and cloud launches that run a profile without your own machine being on.

That last feature is the one Incogniton users underestimate. If your reason for leaving is that the browser has to be on your laptop and your laptop has to be awake, cloud launches solve it outright instead of working around it.

The honest weak spot is team seats. GoLogin has historically published a single team member on its standard paid tiers, with more seats requiring a custom arrangement. If your reason for leaving Incogniton is that you need three people in one account, GoLogin fixes storage and it fixes the API, and it leaves the seat problem roughly where you found it. Dolphin Anty: the cheapest route to a scriptable tier

If the automation gate is why you are reading this, Dolphin Anty is the shortest path out. It exposes both a local and a remote API, supports Selenium, Puppeteer and Playwright, and puts that access on its entry paid tier rather than reserving it for a plan above.

The remote API matters more than the price. A remote endpoint means the machine running your script does not have to be the machine running the browser, which is exactly the constraint Incogniton's local-only API imposes. Put a scheduler on a small Linux box and point it at profile hosts elsewhere.

Two cautions. Dolphin Anty's tier ladder has a steep step between the solo plan and the first team plan, and the profiles you gain at that step are a poor trade on their own. What you are really buying there is multi-seat access and the account structure around it, so do not climb it for headroom you will not use. And the product is visibly built for affiliate marketing and media buying, which shows in the feature set: if your work is closer to research or QA, part of the interface will be dead weight.

Multilogin: when governance is the reason

Some people leave Incogniton not because it is limited but because they now have to answer questions about who accessed which account and when. Multilogin has been selling into that requirement longer than anyone else on this page.

Two cautions. The bundled residential proxy traffic on the lower plans reads as a differentiator until you divide the allowance by the profile count, at which point it becomes a sampler rather than an operating supply. And a second engine sounds like pure upside, but a Firefox-based profile presents a completely different TLS handshake and JavaScript API surface from a Chromium one, so it is a different identity, not a skin.

Kameleo is the outlier in this list because its free plan includes a working API with a published rate limit, and because it prices concurrent browsers rather than a profile counter. It ships two engines, Chroma for Chrome and Edge style profiles and Junglefox for Firefox, a local API with Python, JavaScript and C# SDKs, and emulated mobile profiles from the free tier upward.

For an Incogniton user weighing a move, the free plan is a complete test harness at zero cost: build ten profiles, script them, and see whether the fingerprints hold before you pay anyone anything. The catch is platform. Kameleo has historically been Windows-centric on the desktop, so if the missing Linux build is your reason for leaving, check the current download page before you get attached.

AdsPower: for operators, not scripts

AdsPower is built for a room of people clicking, not an engineer writing code. Octo Browser: the maintenance-cadence pick

Octo's argument is kernel currency and uptime rather than features. The Octium build tracks Chrome stable closely, there are iOS and Android apps, and the vendor publishes an uptime figure its competitors mostly do not. The trade is packaging: the API is gated to a mid tier and team seats to a higher one, which is the same shape of complaint that sends people away from Incogniton. Moving here fixes Linux and cloud storage, and it may leave your gate exactly where it was.

Hidemyacc: the closest thing to a lateral move

Hidemyacc is the budget lane and structurally the most similar tool to Incogniton in this list: local-first, Windows and macOS, a local API gated to a mid tier. That similarity is the point. If you like how Incogniton works and only want a smaller bill or a different support experience, this is the least disruptive switch on the page. Local-first or cloud-first is the real decision

Everything above collapses into one question, and it is not a question about money.

Incogniton keeps profiles on your machine. GoLogin, Multilogin and Octo Browser keep them on theirs. Dolphin Anty and AdsPower sit in between. That single property settles four things at once:

  • Who holds your cookies. Local-first means a vendor breach cannot expose your sessions and a lapsed subscription cannot lock you out of your own data. Cloud-first means the opposite on both counts, in exchange for convenience.
  • Whether a dead laptop is an incident. Local-first without disciplined backups is one disk failure away from losing every warmed profile you own.
  • How a second person joins. Cloud-first makes this a permission change. Local-first makes it a file transfer, and a transferred profile that then runs from a second physical location is itself a signal.
  • Whether you can run on a server. Cloud-first tools with remote APIs make that straightforward. Local-first tools turn it into a virtualisation project.

There is no correct answer in the abstract, only a correct answer for you. Solo operators guarding a small number of high-value accounts are often right to stay local. Anyone building a pipeline, adding people, or running from infrastructure they never physically touch is fighting the local model every day and should stop.

The Linux question, honestly

If the missing Linux build is your reason for leaving, be precise about what you are asking for. A native Linux desktop client, which GoLogin, Multilogin, AdsPower, Dolphin Anty and Octo Browser all ship, gets a GUI running on your Ubuntu workstation. That is not the same thing as running antidetect profiles headless across a rack of servers, which almost nothing in this category does well, because these are GUI applications with real rendering requirements and the fingerprint depends on that rendering being genuine.

If server-side execution at scale is the actual requirement, the honest answer is that a cloud-first vendor's remote launch feature, or a scripted stealth stack, fits it better than any desktop antidetect browser, whatever penguin appears on the download page.

How to price these yourself

This article prints no prices on purpose. Run this worksheet instead. It stays correct after the vendors reprice.

Open the pricing page and answer four questions in this order:

  1. What is the cheapest plan I can script? Not the cheapest plan. The cheapest plan with the API you need, local or remote. For a lot of buyers, that single figure is the entire comparison.
  2. What is the cheapest plan a second person can log into? Seats are the most commonly gated capability in this category and the one that moves the bill most. Write it down even if you are solo today.
  3. What is my real concurrency, as opposed to my profile count? Profile counters are marketing. What binds you is how many browsers you can hold open simultaneously and how many API calls per minute you get. A plan advertising tens of thousands of profiles behind a modest request limit cannot touch them all in a working day.
  4. What does the proxy bill add? No answer to question 1, 2 or 3 is complete without it, because every tool here expects you to bring your own IPs.

Multiply the monthly figure by twelve before you compare anything, since annual discounts in this category are large enough to invert a ranking outright. Then credit nothing for the free tier you are leaving. Migration costs attention and account risk, and a plan that is marginally cheaper does not cover that.

Migrating off Incogniton without burning accounts

Antidetect profiles do not port. Everything else in this section follows from that one fact, and almost no comparison page states it plainly.

Cookies and localStorage move fine, because they are just files. The identity does not. Canvas and WebGL hashes, audio context values, font enumeration order and the TLS ClientHello all come out of the browser build that produced them, so a profile rebuilt in a new tool is, to the platform watching it, a device that has never existed before. On an account with months of history behind it, that reads as a device change, and device changes get scored.

Leaving a local-first tool makes this worse than average, which is the specific trap for Incogniton users. Cloud-first customers change one thing when they switch vendors. Local-first customers often change three, because the profiles were tied to a machine and the switch is frequently the moment they retire that machine and, with it, the network it sat on. Fingerprint, host and IP all shift inside one afternoon, and from the platform's side that is hard to tell apart from somebody else taking the account over.

You cannot keep the fingerprint. So keep the other two:

  1. Copy the profile directory to cold storage first. Before you change a setting, before you cancel anything. This is the one advantage local storage hands you on the way out, and cloud-first users have no equivalent.
  2. Export cookies profile by profile. One archive covering fifty accounts is an all-or-nothing restore. Fifty small exports let you retry a single failed account without re-running everything.
  3. Note the exit IP each profile has been using, and reserve it. Reserving it is what a sticky session token exists for. Do this before you install the replacement browser, not after.
  4. Move your five least valuable profiles, then wait a week. A cohort that survives seven days of ordinary use tells you more than any fingerprint checker will.
  5. Hold the host machine constant if you possibly can. If you are also changing laptop or moving to a server, make that a separate migration weeks later. Two small identity changes beat one large one.
  6. Rebuild on the same operating system. A Windows profile stays a Windows profile. Changing declared OS mid-account is a bigger jump than changing vendor.
  7. Batch in fives, not fifties. Thirty profiles that all present new hardware on the same day, from one subnet, on one engine build, form a cluster, and cluster detection is the oldest tool in the enforcement kit.
  8. Do nothing scored for the first few sessions. Log in, read, scroll, log out. No posts, no payment method edits, no budget changes until the profile has a few quiet sessions behind it.
  9. Leave Incogniton installed through one more billing cycle. With the profile directory still on disk, that is a rollback that actually works rather than one you hope works.

A last check before you trust the rebuild. The TLS handshake comes from the browser engine, not from anything you can set in the interface, so two vendors present different ClientHellos even when every visible spoofed value matches. Proxies: the half no antidetect browser ships

Not one of these seven gives you an IP supply you could operate on. Incogniton includes none at all. Multilogin and GoLogin bundle a residential allowance that looks like a feature until you divide it by the plan's profile count, at which point it is a demo. The proxy is a separate purchase whichever row of the table you pick, and it deserves more of your attention than the browser did, for one asymmetric reason: a fresh fingerprint has no history, while an IP arrives carrying somebody else's.

Two things stay true whichever vendor you land on.

Pin one exit per profile and leave it pinned. Per-request rotation is the right default for scraping and the wrong one for an account somebody is logged into. These browsers accept a single proxy per profile anyway, so use a sticky session and keep the token alive as long as the account is.

Make the IP and the profile tell the same story. Timezone, locale, language and exit geography have to agree. A Berlin profile leaving through Singapore fails the first and cheapest check any platform runs. Most of these tools can derive timezone and geolocation from the proxy: turn that on, then confirm it rather than assuming the toggle worked.

The session token rides in the username, so the credential format matters as much as the hostname does. Two notes on the SOCKS5 option. Use the socks5h scheme rather than plain socks5, so hostnames resolve at the proxy instead of on your machine, otherwise your local resolver sees every domain the profile visits. And SOCKS5 here carries TCP, which means UDP never enters the tunnel: any WebRTC traffic the browser generates takes a route around it, and has to be disabled or forced to report the proxy's public address in the browser's own privacy settings.
